How You Can Help

There are several ways to help with this project:

1. Save Seeds from Monarch Plant List that occur on your property.
2. Ask first, then Save Seeds from your business, church, or neighbors' properties.
(3. Steal seeds from abandoned properties like a thief in the night.)
4. Come to the property to bag flowers and pods for seeds during the summer. This option is only available to people I know and Shawnee community groups.
5. Send or give me seeds or plants from the Monarch Plant List. I can be contacted via Facebook. Emmanuel Episcopal and First Christian of Shawnee will likely be collecting seeds.
6. Arrange to come to the property to help plant seeds and plants. Seeds will likely be planted each fall (unless they arrive before about March 10,) while plants are best planted in the spring, probably around the beginning of April. Still only open to people I know and local groups.
7. If you know of any government, non-profit, community, or social groups who may be interested in helping with this project, please contact me on Facebook.
8. If you would like to donate money to the project, please mail a check or take it personally to Emmanuel Episcopal of Shawnee with a note that says you would like it to be used for this project.
9. Send or give small paper baggies.

* It would be most advantageous if seeds were collected locally, rather than purchasing them, as the chance of success will be higher. Still, no one's going to turn down purchased seed or plants, either.

* If you are considering purchasing plants or seeds, please choose from the Monarch Plant List. Butterflyweed seeds/plants, Swamp Milkweed seeds, and redbuds seedlings are the most needed, but anything on the list is much appreciated.
